Assertiveness Skills

Assertiveness is a way of behaving and of communicating feelings, thoughts and beliefs in an open honest way without violating the rights of others. Being unassertive can lead to loss of confidence, low mood, feeling resentful, feeling helpless and getting frustrated. By the end of the programme, you will be able to:

  • identify barriers to assertive behaviour and effective communication
  • understand the role of non-verbal communication and use this to communicate more effectively
  • effectively use a range of techniques that will aid assertion

Courses are run as a rolling program of six 90 minute sessions over six weeks. Contact us or use our online form to register your interest for the next available dates. Fee for the course for individuals is £96.

The course is also offered to organisations, either on site or at our premises in Tonbridge or Sevenoaks, accommodating from 4 – 8 participants. The course is £560, or £480 for voluntary section organisations. Contact us for more information.
